The Stormwind CommunityThe Stormwind Community aims at being a very cooperative community. We foster participation in each of the projects under the Stormwind umbrella, since we do believe this is the only way for these projects to evolve. Community OrganizationIf you'd like to get more information on the community organization, we are more than happy to provide it. You can find more about the teams involved with the Stormwind Project by clicking in the Projects' Teams item, under Organization in the left menu. This page details relevant information on each member of the community (committers).
If you'd like more information on the roles each member plays in the community, you should head to the Project Management Commitee (PMC) bylaws page.
This page details how the community is run and what are the attributions of each committer and the Chairman. How to Contact UsWe are so willing to get feedback from you, that we made ourselves available in every possible way you can think of. You can reach us in the Stormwind Forums, which is the preferred way to go in case of doubts or suggestions since we can discuss it with the community there. To enter the forums, just go the Forum page, under Contact Us in the left menu.
You can reach us in the development lists, which is the preferred way to discuss some code in the codebase or some patch to one of the projects. The mailing lists are listed in the "Mailing Lists" page, under Contact Us in the left menu.
You can reach us in our blogs. This is a really nice way to tell us that you've read something we wrote and what do you think about it. You can find the project members blogs under Blog Roll page, under Contact Us in the left menu.
ContributionsAs we said before, this community is all about contributions. We take the organization of our codebase very seriously, so it can be easier for you, the community member to patch some code that you think you can improve.
You can find more information on contributing code in the Contributing page, under Contributing in the left menu. Do you think this is a nice community? Do you care if this community go ahead? One of our projects has helped you in daily work?
So here is your opportunity to give back to the community. We are a non-profit organization, but we do need resources like servers, hosting, SVN servers and stuff like that. These kinds of resources can be quite expensive, so if you'd like to help, and you happen to have some of those resources available, GO AHEAD! Sponsor us! Have a nice banner in the website and your logo in the sponsors area in the left menu. To learn more about it click in the Sponsoring page, under Contributions in the left menu. |
